Dear Ms. Dembkoski and Mr. Salvie,

The May 2025 Town Meeting was almost seamless for most voters; because there was no childcare provided, my family had to bring our kids with us. We care deeply about Stow and our neighbors, so we were able to bring activities and snacks to keep our kids busy, but having the opportunity for us to pay for onsite childcare would've enabled my partner and I to pay better attention to the speakers and presentations. 

Please consider following the lead of the Kid Town Meeting parents and offer a program for childcare that utilizes the resources within the Recreation Department. Other towns, including Acton , Ashland, Concord, Essex, Grafton, Harvard, Leverett, Marblehead, Medway, North Andover, Orleans, Tyngsboro, Wellfleet and Westford  are among the many towns that have figured out how to use current civic structures - Recreation Departments or School Districts - to offer child care during Town Meeting.
